Circle Cards
Diary page cards
Zig Zag cards
A friend bought me a scrapbook cards book when she came for dinner one night instead of flowers and chocs, and in it was a zigzag card which I just had to try! It became my DD's 5th birthday card and of course I made it very girly which she loved! I was so pleased with the result that I took it along to a card club that I go to monthly in the local church hall to show a couple of friends and ended up doing being roped into doing a demo in June (it all went very well and all the ladies went home with card!) they're actually easier than they look - lots of measuring!! Anyway here's the card that started it all!
'0' birthday's !!
It's been a while!!
Life has been fairly busy dashing here & there with the kids and we're now totally chilled out and going into week 4 of the holidays - 3 weeks tomorrow & they're back to school. DS goes up to the junior site (gulp - no more waiting outside the classroom :-( ) and DD goes into Y1 and starts to bring homework home each friday !! On the 24th Sept I'm going to college to do an NVQ2 in Suport Teaching & Learning and will be at college on weds afernoons & doing 2 mornings a week with Y2's at our school - all very exciting but a little nervewracking too!! It's been 21 years since I last did any proper study I'm not sure how my brain is going to cope!!

Christening Card
My friend asked me to make a Christening card for her, she wanted it to be girly & OTT as Molly's Mum is a cardmaker herself!! I think I've achieved my objective!
I used pale yellow & pale pink pearl card for the letters (cut freehand) & matting, some gingham tissue paper & various brads, buttons, gems from my stash. I printed both the poem & date panels out on the PC, the poem was scruffed up, torn & chalked pale yellow. I kept the the date panel neat & made it look like a picture frame, hanging from the letter. I covered each letter with my snowwriter to make them all glittery & girly!

by the skin of my teeth!
I made this card for a friends wedding, which unfortuantely I missed as I was poorly, but it fit nicely with the caardvarks challenge to use chipboard, but it has to be posted by 01/10/07, so I'm cutting it very fine!!
Anyway I love this card (as does DD - her fave colours are pink & lilac!) I used papers from shabby princess, to cover the card front & the letters. I printed off the definition, screwed it up, tore it & chalked it! Printed the names & date & then used brads, eyelets, ribbons, rhinestones & finished it off with a snow writer round the letter edges to bling it up!

Doodlebug House
I've wanted to do one of these, since I first saw them sometime ago & fianlly had the opportunity!
My God-Daughter had her 8th Birthday yesterday so I made one for her & she was over the moon with it! I bought a battery operated glow ball to go inside it & it looked great when it got dark!
Have to say it was quite fiddly to do, but now I've done one I'll know what to do next time ( I have a large one to decorate for xmas for us!) a word of warning to anyone I found the DST that they have already applied to the tabs to be fairly poor........ I covered it all & assembled it one eve ready for decorating the next eve, it the morning it had all popped apart, so I had to glue it with extra sticky glue & clip it all together!!!
She loves Horse's so had to put one on her card didn't I!?
buttons & dinosaurs
Made this card for my DD's little friend, the original image I saw in a mgazine (can't rememeber which one) had the dino in felt with eyelets, but as I didn't have any felt & was crafting late at night I used card & buttons! Then realised I could use it for the tech thursday challenge for this week! Isn't he cute!
The template was in the magazine, & I used a variety of cards, buttons, ribbons & a tag from my stash, along with a peel off. The tag is hand written.
