Decoupage Delights

I don't generally like Decoupage as I find it a bit fiddly, but I've always liked the images from PaperNation as they're fun & modern. Unfortunately the picture isn't very clear for the lady (didn't take it in daylight!).

For the Gardening Lady I used Papermania - Inspirations paper ( warm tones), flower & button. dovecraft brads, PaperNation decoup image & ribbon from my stash.

Grandpa used, Dovecraft papers by Kelly Harwood, PaperMania buttons, PaperNation image & ribbon from my stash.

carte-maniak 30/8

Well my french is very poor so I hope I was supposed to just follow the sketch and that there wasn't a theme too!

Any-way decided to do yet another 'male' card as I normally find these so difficult & my last vintage car card got snapped up at the weekend!

Everything I used was by Dovecraft - papers by Kelly Harwood, Studio G stamp & brads the image is one I used previously from the net.

2 in 1

Combined 2 challenges - the Sketch from Kimmie with the theme from Rhi.
I used Dovecraft Papers by Kate Knight, PaperMania button & flowers, Dovecraft brads, Studio G stamp & ribons from my stash!

MG-T

DH has recently sold a model MG-T (pedal car) to a MG fanatic in America, we've had some wonderful correspondance with him by email & I thought that he might appreciate a card with his favourite car on the front! We're going to crate the car up tomorrow & pop this inside as a surprise for him when it finally arrives in the states!

This card is for my Brother In Law, the family live in Warkworth and the picture is of Warkworth Castle, a favourite walking spot for them & view from their house! I used the recent carte maniak sketch for it!

This is the card I made using Sketch 23 on Sketch this cards - I got the inspiration for doing a new home card from a paint sample strip that I had in my stash. I don't have a suitable stamp for the house picture, so I've been drawing my own recently!

Tonights projects whilst my boys were watching the footie!
Used some sketches again, and made them for various challenges, black and white for Creative Ideas on Sunday and red for DCM & Technique Thursday.

Loving these sketches!!

I was browsing throught the past sketches on Beates Blog ( really must sort out my links so that they work like everyone elses!) and made some cards from my ToDo list.

The 'laugh every day'one is made from Shabby Princess Papers, with Papermania Mulberry Flowers, dark brown Dovecraft brads in the centres, & 2 ribbons from my stash.

The 'brown flower' one is made from some basic 12x12 beige cardstock, which I chalked & stamped with some Papermania Swirls. I then added a square of Stampendous paper torn on 2 sides & chalked, a brown & blue flower with a yellow gem brad for the centre, some gold ribbon from my stash & 2 chocolate brown brads & a small chalked tag to finish it off.

The 'orange buttons' one was again using Shabby Princess papers, the buttons are a recent Papermania purchase, the ribbon is from my stash, and the flower was punched from 1 of the papers, a greeting on the tag, chalked to match the scheme.

More themes!

This weeks challenge for Papercraft Junkies is transport & I combined it with this weeks sketch on Beates Blog to create this one. I used Stampendous papers, Dovecraft Eyelets & Ribbon from my stash. The picture is a copyright one that my hubby found for me (his challenge for the day!)

Happy Bunny!

After promising myself for a few weeks I finally got round to making cards using sketches or themes set on various forums & I have have to say what a wonderful way to make cards, it really got me out of my comfort zone and made me think! TBH I think this zone is comfier!

This is my take on the sketch at CPS, I mirrored the image & used Papermania papers & flowers with some ribbon & a button from my stash to finish it off.

WEDDING SET

Was commissioned to make a wedding card in Burgundy & Ivory, made a matching envelope & tag too for good measure!

Had 2 text messages yesterday, 1 from the recipient of the Friendship Book to say how lovely it was (she was texting from the airport just before leaving to start thier new lives :-( ) and the other was from the lady whom I'd made it for thanking me for making it & praising my work!! So glad it was a hit!

Friendship Book

I was asked to make this by a stranger for a mutual friend who is emigrating on the 13th of this month, it had to be small enough to fit in her hand luggage. At approx 5" x 3" x 1/2" I think it fits the bill.
It's made from a strip from 12x12 cardstock, scored, folded & decorated with stamped swirls, stitching a chipboard letter, silk flower & brad. It has small money envelopes inside to hold the individual tags. I used a range of papermania mulberry flowers, & silk flowers. The quotes were all found on the net & printed off onto plain white paper, which then I coloured with chalks. The tags were cut from cream card to fit the envelopes & again coloured with chalks to match the theme.
I really enjoyed making it.

ATC'S - vintage paris

Made for a 3x3 swop on zuzu's forum - I'm really pleased with the way they turned out, lets hope the recipients are too!?

40th Birthday Card

made this for a friend - stitched round the edges (boy I love my sewing the the moment!) and the tags all have 'facts' about 1967 ie Dr James Bedford became the first person to be cryogenically preserved with the intent of future resuscitation! (did you know that!?)
